Walking tour of the Marais district in Paris

For your stay in Paris, the My Hotel in France le Marais has prepared for you a nice Walking Tour between Oberkampf and the Marais, in order to guide you in the discovery of this district « so Parisian ».
Starting from the My Hotel in France le Marais, rue Commines, go in the direction of the Rue de Bretagne to enjoy the hustle and bustle of its cafés, until you arrive at the Marché des enfants rouges, the oldest market in Paris;

Then, go down to the Rue des archives and walk in the small streets in the surroundings where you will discover lots of small design, vintage and couture shops, galleries and gay bars such as in the Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie.
You can continue your walk in the Rue de Rivoli, passing through BHV (Bazar de l’Hôtel de Ville) for a nice shopping session, not forgetting to go up the terrace which has a great view on Paris roofs.

Rue des Rosiers, the Jewish street of the Marais, where you can take away some tasty Falafel to eat in the place des Vosges. When you’re finish, don’t miss the Maison de Victor Hugo and the Musée Carnavalet to discover the whole history of Paris.

After that cultural pause, go up the charming rue Vieille du Temple; take a coffee at la Perle, a very bourgeois-bohème café.

Now it’s time to drop your shopping bags in the My hotel in France le Marais and enjoy a show in the Cirque d’Hiver, before having some drinks, cocktails or a nice glass of french wine in one of the cool and festive bars of the Rue d’Oberkampf. You’ll have a wide choice of restaurants and bars, even for low budgets!
